ColorJet Printing is a 3D printing process in which three-dimensional products are created layer by layer based on a polymer plaster powder. During the printing process, a roller distributes an extremely thin layer of polymer plaster and compresses it on to the print bed. The layer is bonded with a binder-containing ink making it unbreakable before the next layer is applied. After the printing process, the finished component is infiltrated with superglue. This hardens the model and providing its final strength.
The components can be produced in white or as full colour 3d printed - with these printers the coloured ink colours the base material. The colour specifications must be included in the 3D print file for this process. The following file formats are suitable for this: 3MF, OBJ or VRML.
